I'm reading The Premature Burial by Edgar Allan Poe and for a certain section the question is this: How would you describe the narrator’s mental state? Are his actions rational? (The section will be below)

I read this and I can't find anything about The Premature Burial

I've also read this and am still stuck. From what I read I thought the narrator was dead. But now he has a mentality and ow my brain hurts...
lol
SO basically he has a condition that makes him go unconscious to the point where to everybody else he seems dead.
He is screaming from the tomb after he realizes he had been buried alive
He seems to have snapped, but the actions he takes is screaming and kicking. And his imagination is making it worse I think, but I'm not exactly sure how. But if you or me was put in that situation we would kick or scream too. So does that mean nobody would be logical and everybody including him would jump to this conclusion irrationally?
But I'm not sure how to explain his mental state or exactly if his actions are rational or not
He doesn't seem to trust anybody anymore, and he is to terrified to leave his house for even a second. His actions are not rational.
He also like stocked up his vault in case it did happen
Could you help me figure out how to describe his mental state?
Knowing Poe and his works, I'm assuming the narrator is unreliable and probably not sane ~ lolz ~ but this is only an assumption, I haven't yet had the chance to read this piece~ :3 Good Luck~
