OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

infinitive phrase means a verb (usually) has \(\normalsize\color{blue}{ \rm to }\) in front,. Like \(\normalsize\color{blue}{ \rm to }\) play \(\normalsize\color{blue}{ \rm to }\) write \(\normalsize\color{blue}{ \rm to }\) do homework Or, do\(\normalsize\color{blue}{ \rm ing }\) homework check\(\normalsize\color{blue}{ \rm ing }\) the answers rest\(\normalsize\color{blue}{ \rm ing }\) from school

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

I am trying to say, that the verb has to be general, not referring or going on a specific pronoun like us, we them and etc.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

For instance, when you say visit \(\normalsize\color{blue}{ \rm us }\), that is not an infinitive verb. tell \(\normalsize\color{blue}{ \rm us }\) is also not an infinite verb. Tamar ... \(\normalsize\color{blue}{ \rm planning }\) is also not an infinite verb. (the verb refers to her. See what I mean?

Similar to the French language, infinitives always contain "to" in front of them, such as: to go to jump to run Or contain -ing after their present tense JUMPing GOing RUNing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

An infinitive is kind of an example of a Verb, so it would be D. Another trick to finding an infinitive phrase, is look for the word to. Most of the time thats where the infinitive phrase is.:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it would be D.
