I got these questions wrong on my practice exam... Can you guys help me understand why? 1.) In a geometry class, the students were asked to prove the theorem below by contradiction: Theorem: A triangle has at the most one obtuse angle. Heather begins the proof with an assumption. Which statement will she most likely use as an assumption? A.) Let two angles of a triangle be obtuse B.) Let each angle of a triangle be acute C.) Let only one angle of a triangle be obtuse. D.) Let two angles of a triangle be right.

A triangle can't have more than one obtuse angle -- try drawing it. It wouldn't be a triangle. Since this is an answer that has to do with an obtuse angle and contradicts the theorem, I'm pretty sure it's right. What answer did you pick?

I chose C @greenfrog

I would've chosen it, too :) Does that help? Do you know if I was right? @Gunderson1881

It was wrong @greenfrog

Oh. I'm really sorry :(
