I am in Algebra 2 and need to simplify this equation: 3(x^2y)^3/12(x^-2y)^4 I know that I need to distribute the exponents, but what do I do with the whole numbers in front of the parenthesis?

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

You can reduce the whole numbers. think of them like a fraction \[\frac{3}{12}\]

OpenStudy (jhannybean):
