Participles come in two varieties: past and present. A participle phrase will begin with a present or past participle. If the participle is present, it will dependably end in ing. Likewise, a regular past participle will end in a consistent ed. Irregular past participles, conclude in all kinds of ways. What do you think it is?
B. broken by strong winds
the workers avrried
It is not C because it is referring to the Future, and the others are past and present but I would go with A because 'arrived' has the 'ed'. :]

I think its D because it is a present participle and has the 'ing'. :)
