Three questions: What are some situations or circumstances in which DNA testing could help identify someone or something? How does a child's DNA compare to his or her parents DNA? What could we use to help identify parents and why would we use Biotechnology to help? How could an investigation be affected if the suspect whose DNA matched the evidence had an identical twin who is also in the area at the time of the crime?

Are these essay questions?

No, it's a discussion question. :) I just don't have a response for it :/

1. DNA testing can be used in many situations, such as identifying a murderer by testing blood or fingerprints left at the scene of the crime. 2. A child's DNA is made up from their parents' DNA. Each parent gives half of their DNA, so the child is 50 percent DNA from the mother and 50 percent from the father. Biotechnology, such as DNA testing, may be used to identify a person's parents. Something as simple as a strand of hair could be used for testing, as it contains cells with their DNA. 3. In this case, it would be difficult to rely solely on DNA testing to identify who the suspect is. Other factors would have to be taken into account, such as witness reports or what both twins claim they were doing at the time of the crime.
