Help me triple plz @brandonfrabel give medal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@brandonfrabel

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there it is srry bout that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You said it was a writing sample, not a math question. Sorry, I'm terrible at math so I can't help.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

man

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@sleepyjess

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hey can u help me plz

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i must have it done by 9:00 in morning

OpenStudy (supernova_sonntag):

a) Slope intercept form is y=mx+b So you have to use the grap to find slope and the y-intercept, then plug them into the equation. For part A you are only using the solid line. b) Same as part a but use the broken line.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you know how to find slope?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thx i have i think 2 more thats like it can u help

OpenStudy (supernova_sonntag):

You can do rise over run or take two points and subtract them for slope y-y/x-x ^-^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok wait isnt there a c part i think let me check

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there is a see

OpenStudy (supernova_sonntag):

Yes, but I have to leave right now, sorry but I hope I could help for the first two. Good luck.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

man i relally need this done cause ima get every single thing taken away and just got it back just plz help me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats the one i need help on these

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, so can you tell me the gradient of each of the lines?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not really

OpenStudy (anonymous):

rememeber im talking bought this one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know, that's what I'm talking about. The gradient is the change in y divided by the change in x. So find 2 points on the each line. They both go through the origin so (0, )) is one point, can you tell me another?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

* (0, 0)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait is this a because theres aslo b and c srry worried might not get it done in time

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is a and b.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

o ok so i really dont know the other one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Let's do the strawberry line first. All you have to do is look along the line until it intersects a crossing of the faint grey lines in the background.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im doing the crawfish table chrt now for quesion 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i meant quesion 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, so we know he needs 24oz of seasoning for every 10lbs of fish. How much does he ned for 10?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*How much does he need for 5?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

12oz

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Exactly, how about 15 and 20?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

36oz for 15 right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yep

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok and 20 is 48oz

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yep. How much would he need for 30lbs?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats not in the chart tho lol ok not lets go on to b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

o lol that is quesion b im srry @tom982

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No worries. I didn't leave, lol, I just closed the tab by mistake.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its cool ok i truly dont know wat 30ib of crawfidsh would be lol would i multiply

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well you know how much there is for 15, so it's a fair assumption to say that it will be double for 30lbs.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

true so its 72oz

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Exactly. Make sure you include the sentence to explain your answer as required. Now c, how many oz of seasoning is used per lb of crawfish?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for number c i do not know wat the unit rate is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it says wats the unit rate

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That is the unit rate, I don't ask questions for no reason.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol true srry ok but i still dont know the answer is it 6oz

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problem. Well we know 10lb requires 24oz, so just scale it down to 1lb (we were scaling it up before).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know i think the answer is 6oz wat u think the answer is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6oz would be enough for 2.5lb of crawfish. We know 10lb = 24oz So 10/10lb = 24/10oz (divide both sides by 10, to get it as 1lb on the left) So 1lb = 2.4oz

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And our unit rate is 2.4 oz of seasoning per lb of crawfish. If you want this as the sentences they ask for I would write something like this: "We know that 10lbs of crawfish requires 24oz of seasoning, so scaling this down we see that the unit rate is 2.4oz of seasoning per lb of crawfish. This means that to calculate the number of ounces of seasoning to use, we multiply the number of pounds by 2.4."

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok yea i like this sentence ima copy and paste it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but then wats the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

last quesion

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok lets do a first

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@sleepyjess

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can u plz help me last quesion @sleepyjess

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well i still need a b and c for quesion 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@kittycat123

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok wat u get for 2.c. n I can try 2 help u wit 3.a-c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure um 2.c is im abought to do it cause my thing shut off and gotta do it over again

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I no it shut me out 2 many times I just did min on word finally

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"We know that 10lbs of crawfish requires 24oz of seasoning, so scaling this down we see that the unit rate is 2.4oz of seasoning per lb of crawfish. This means that to calculate the number of ounces of seasoning to use, we multiply the number of pounds by 2.4."

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats 2.c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is 3.a-c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjGKR62i5ig this is a great beat to

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@kittycat123 wat is 3.a-c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so were doing mx+b slope intercept form there was no plus or 3rd number so that makes it 0 but the slope would be 3.5 for a n like I sed the 3rd number is 0 so that's y intercept then u just have 2 make up ur own story for 3.c. I cant help u with tht
