-8 points to -6 & 1. There are Brackets labeled (-8,-6)& (-8,1). -5 points to 2, & 7 points to 3. Understand?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

err.. yea B

The answer is A. The set of ordered pairs is not a function, since two the x values in the set of ordered pairs is the same. We have (-8,-6) and (-8,1). To see this visually, plot the set of ordered pairs to see if you can draw a vertical line through two or more points. If you can draw a vertical line through two or more points, the relation is not a function. Watch a youtube video on the subject of function mapping. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mj9dDbWxTao
