Directrix (directrix):

@SageWilson Isn't the problem posted in the current thread the same as the one from yesterday? Click on the link: http://openstudy.com/users/directrix#/updates/5482de35e4b0edc680fd6d0f

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

It's somewhat similar to it but I'm not sure how to find the value of x when I have 4 values already put

Directrix (directrix):

It is the same problem with different numbers. Let me get the diagram and change the numbers.

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

okay

Directrix (directrix):

The two triangles are similar by the AA Postulate. So, corresponding sides are in proportion. 30 is to x as 18 is to 24 30/x = 18/24 30/x = 3/4 Cross Multiply 3x = 120 x = ? @SageWilson

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

X would equal 40

Directrix (directrix):

That is what I got.

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

thank you, if you can, can you help me out with one more problem

Directrix (directrix):

Yes, I will try. Post the next problem in a new thread.

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

ok

Directrix (directrix):

Alrighty, then.
