How did George Washington meet the challenge of keeping his small army from being lost during the early part of the Revolutionary War? A. hire professional soldiers from Spain to make his army bigger B. rely on naval forces more than the army to attack the British C. retreat when necessary to save the army D. attack the British even when American losses were high

OpenStudy (ironhide):

Well, the Revolutionary War was won by guerilla warfare (irregular tactics). We came at the British at when they least expected it and in unusual ways, like hiding in bushes and trenches, etc. Of course, because the British are who they are, they were very used to warfare being proper. Everything was done out in the open. So, they were taken very off guard by our "unfair advantages" of knowing the land and sneaking up on them. So, I'm GUESSING the answer is D?

OpenStudy (ironhide):

Because it's most closely worded to what the real answer is. I hate history tests. They try to trick you so much.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i no im ashamed that i fell for it -_- lol

How were Native Americans affected by the American Revolution? A. They decided to ally themselves with the Spanish. B. They lost much of their land east of the Applachians. C. They refused to take part in the war on either side. D. They were forced to move west of the Mississippi River.

OpenStudy (ironhide):

The Battle of Trenton was actually incredibly hard to win due to terrible weather and the Hessians (Germans hired by British) had major losses, so our victory inspired a lot of colonists and we actually gained a bunch of soldiers because more ppl enlisted afterward.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1417994008320:dw|

OpenStudy (ironhide):

the colonists' survival of Valley Forge scared the British, because while they could have died of starvation, disease, malnutrition, exposure, and exhaustion, they survived, trained, and gained the support of the french and inspired america once again. the british believed at this point that there was no way they could defeat people who survived that. if americans could survive valley forge, of course they could defeat the british. and the answer to that one is D! he's prussian and he was George Washington's friend and he trained many soldiers
