Which is historical inquiry based on? a - fact-finding mission b - informal reading c - narrow questioning d - open-ended questioning e - question-driven thinking I've ruled out A, B, and C. D and E are basically the same thing. This is irritating me. What are your opinions/logical reasonings?
I just answered D?
Read this question: "Which battle was the worst World War II battle?" Why would this not make a good question for launching historical inquiry? a- It is impossible to make an interpretive claim about this question. b- The question is too narrow for productive inquiry. c- The question is much too broad for successful analysis. d- No one battle would stand out above the others. e- There is no proven answer to this question.
b or c
That's what I was thinking, and then my friend said E. I don't know ;-;
no
not e
this is what she said "well it's not a bc that's not true, it's def not too narrow, i don't think it's too broad bc it's narrowed down to "which battle", and then it could be argued that a battle does stand out above others, so you're left with e"
there is a proven answer but it doesnt state it so its probably b
but if you stated the answer, then it would be too narrow, wouldn't it?
did you need help with the first question that was iritating you
nah, i already answered it
nah its narrow when there isnt enouh information
enough*
...broad means there's not enough information, because you could go a million different ways. narrow means there's too much information. think of a narrow hallway, it means it's a small hallway. when there's too much info you don't have enough wiggle room to make a historical inquiry.
but c could be a posibility too but maybe its B
well let me put it this way using your illustration if something lets say a cake is narrow its long and thin right? but does that mean that its more than a regular size cake which is broad?
thats all i can say really. but you will have to decide by your insticnt. im not saying i have to be right because i dont know everything but i am just stating the facts
ok no just dude a broad question means there's not enough info, narrow is opposite, that's that. hahha idk im just gonna guess. or play eenie meenie minie moe hahaha, closin' the question now
make an educational one dont randomly put down an answer.
