At higher elevations, the boiling point of water decreases, due to the decrease in atmospheric pressure. As a result, what could be said about hard boiling an egg?a. At higher elevations, it would take less time to hard boil an egg, because there is less atmospheric pressure. b. At higher elevations, it would take longer to hard boil an egg, because there is a lower boiling point, so the egg is boiling in water at a lower temperature. c. At higher elevations, it would take less time to hard boil an egg, because there is a lower boiling point. Therefore it would take less time to achieve the boiling point. d. At higher elevations, it would take longer to hard boil an egg, because it would take longer to achieve the boiling point.
@e.mccormick Hey, I whipped up a new version of the applet I showed you earlier :D, this time, I believe it to cover almost all the bases.
Though I'm sure some of the text could be polished more.
Spamming someone else's post?
Though this one does not belong in Comp Sci... /sigh.
Did you try the applet yourself? It illustrates the reasoning for keeping posts organized in their appropriate subjects, and even shows people how to change to different subjects-- Is it not appropriate to provide those who post physics/geology questions in the comp sci section with information (in this case a jar file) as to why they shouldn't post a question in an inappropriate section? Even if the such simplistic organization is common sense, even if people like @matthew know better- I remain the right to inform them of their folly, and my reasoning for it.
Rather, if such an explanation can be encompassed in a simple- easy to upload jar file, why not use that.
I also uphold the belief that questions in an improper subject do not retain the right to be answered-- until they are moved to their proper subject section.
Thus my justification for responding to Mathew in such a way.
@e.mccormick
Though I suppose this method would assume that the person posting their question in the wrong section would have the jdk downloaded.. if a jar requires that. Let me know your philosophy on the topic.
