@Destinymasha
OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):
plug the points into m=y2-y1/x2-x1
OpenStudy (anonymous):
slope = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):
the points are (-1, 3) which is -1=x1, 3=y1 and (4, -7) which is 4=x2, -7=y2
don't forget a subtracting a negative is the same as adding a positive
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so is it 3/4 @haleyelizabeth2017

nope try again!
-7-3 over 4--1
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ooh i got -4/3 :P
OpenStudy (anonymous):
dont think thats right tho
OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):
nope what is 7+3? thats the same as -7-3 but you need to add a negative...... and 4--1 is the same as 4+1 lol
OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):
so it is -2....

is this the same way? What is the slope of the line passing through the points (0, −5) and (4, 2)?
OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):
lol do the same thing, yes :D
OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):
7/4 (I'm just gonna give it to you lol)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
