Write the equation of a line in slope intercept form that passes through (2, 4) and (5, 4).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so far I have the slope which is 0/3 so im guessing it's zero just need help plugging it in to the equation.

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Well, we know slope intercept form is \[\large y = mx + b\]right?

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

So if we know 'm' = slope = 0...we would just have \[\large y = b\] so we take either point...and plug it into this...so lets use (2,4) \[\large 4 = b\] So our equation is \[\large y = 4\] also known as the horizontal line |dw:1418089344691:dw|

i got it thanks!!

No problem :)
