i will give you a medal for the best answer Explain why the life cycle of a star can be compared to the life cycle of a human.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

plz do not make it long make it like 3 sentences plz

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a star is born when clouds of dust and elements are gathered together in a certain space due to gravity, more and more mass and therefore pressure builds. when the pressure becomes enough to overcome the electronic repulsive force between two hydrogen nuclei, they are forced together and massive amounts of energy are given off forming helium atoms. this energy is then used to fuse other nuclei together. this could be compared to the way human life starts, where instead of 2 nuclei joining together to start a life cycle, two gametes, or sex cells are joined together. also another similarity is that at the start of both a star and a persons life, we are weak and we get stronger and stronger until we reach the height of our existence, then both starts and humans slowly become less efficient at doing what they do until eventually they cannot sustain themselves any further. this is another similarity. however apart from this they are completely different. human cells copy themselves by dividing and multiplying to create and sustain life, whereas atom nuclei's are fused together, in essence using them up, and depleting the numbers until they are fused into an element that is unfusable by the star. all useful nuclei's will have been depleted. this is when a start dies. humans die because cells are copying themselves less eficiently, each time there are tiny errors and over a lifetime these begin to have a negative effect on the body. hope i helped
