In what way were the Jamestown and the Plymouth colonies similar? Both succeeded by developing cash-intensive crops. Both struggled with starvation and other harsh conditions. Both were driven by economic success over religious freedom. Both had roots in the Protestant Reformation under King James I.
Okay, well what do you think the answer is? Do you have any guesses or are you completely lost?
a maybe?
Okay, you are thinking in the right direction, but the soil so far North in Massachusetts was not good for growing cash crops. They primarily grew corn. Since we can eliminate A, what other answer would you immediately eliminate?
idk cause they all make sence to me
Okay well, you can also eliminate C, because the settlers at Plymouth were driven primarily by religion, not economics
ok so b or d
they were both under the king wernt they?
One second, I will be right back...
True they were both under James I during the Protestant Reformation. However they also both struggled with starvation and difficult conditions. The reason I might say B is because the Plymouth settlers were trying to escape the religion of England, which leads me to believe that they were not involved much in the PR...what do you think?
makes sence
Okay, good! :)
