OpenStudy (rainbow_dashie):

@ganeshie8

OpenStudy (rainbow_dashie):

@Joel_the_boss

OpenStudy (rainbow_dashie):

@Michele_Laino

OpenStudy (rainbow_dashie):

a and b

OpenStudy (rainbow_dashie):

?

OpenStudy (rainbow_dashie):

@sleepyjess

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

please you have to calculate the most common multiple among (3, 5, 9, 18), in order to make all of your fraction with the same denominator

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

please, @Rainbow_dashie what is the minimum common multiple among (3, 5, 9, 18)? sorry befor I have made an error not most common... but minimum common multiple

OpenStudy (rainbow_dashie):

how do i work that out?

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

please note that: 3=3*1; 5=5*1 9=3^2*1 18=3^2*2 now you have to pick all common and uncommon factors with the highest exponent

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

so, what factors do you pick?

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

please try

OpenStudy (rainbow_dashie):

I don't get it!!

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

ok! I write m.c.m=3^2*5*2=90 do you agree?

OpenStudy (rainbow_dashie):

forget that 1 hold on

OpenStudy (rainbow_dashie):

http://prntscr.com/5fcbef

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

so we can write: \[-\frac{ 2 }{ 3 }=-\frac{ 60 }{ 90 }\] \[-\frac{ 2 }{ 5 }=-\frac{ 36 }{ 90 }\] please do the same with remaining fractions

OpenStudy (rainbow_dashie):

What??

OpenStudy (rainbow_dashie):

sorry i dont understand

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

sorry I have mede an error, we have to find m.c.m among (3,5,9,12,18= which is equals to 180, so we have: \[-\frac{ 2 }{ 3 }=-\frac{ 120 }{ 180 }, -\frac{ 2 }{ 5 }=-\frac{ 72 }{ 180 }\] \[-\frac{ 5 }{ 9 }=-\frac{ 100 }{ 180 },-\frac{ 13 }{ 18 }=-\frac{ 130 }{ 180 }\] and \[-\frac{ 7 }{ 12 }=-\frac{ 105 }{ 180 }\]

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

so your answer is -72/180=-2/5, so B, namely the second option

OpenStudy (rainbow_dashie):

it was wrong

OpenStudy (rainbow_dashie):

@Michele_Laino

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

and also -100/180=-5/9, so C. Reassuming your answer are B and C

OpenStudy (rainbow_dashie):

it was a

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

@Rainbow_dashie

OpenStudy (rainbow_dashie):

IT WAS A!!!!!

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

please, note that you have to pick two correct answers

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

Sorry, I'm talking about your first question, please

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

the right answer to your second question is A, you are right!

OpenStudy (rainbow_dashie):

You made me get a bad score!!

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

because you have to solve this calculus: \[2-\frac{ 3 }{ 4 }*2=2-\frac{ 3 }{ 2 }=\frac{ 1 }{ 2 }=2*\frac{ 1 }{ 4 }\]

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

@Rainbow_dashie
