10 question quiz

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@cordae

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'll try to help.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@chordae

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thank you it is on precents

OpenStudy (anonymous):

% you know anything about that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'll try my best

Directions: Select all the correct answers. The widget factory is pulling items from each batch to test them for quality control. Twenty-four items are pulled randomly from each batch regardless of the size of the batch. A manager records the percentage and the size of the batch in a log. Which of these could be recorded in the log? 25% of 96 9% of 260 15% of 160 6% of 400 12% of 220 20% of 120

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It would be 25% of 96, 15% of 160, 6% of 400, and 20% of 120, I think. Do you see why?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hellppppp

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I already answered it o.e

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry open study being slow

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ahh, same lol. But, do you understand why it would be those answers?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ten percent of what number is 4? 24 32 40 0.4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It would be 40. You just move the decimal over one place to the left when you're dealing with 10 percent.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

kinda It just confusing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

think it would be 40

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's not that hard, trust me. When dealing with finding percentages of numbers, you move the decimal over two places to the left, and then multiply by the number. Take the first question you posted for example. I got the answer 25% of 96 would be 24 by doing that. I multiplied .25 by 96 and got 24. You basically have to go through all your answers to find out lol.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3. Fifteen percent of what number is 4.5? 18 0.675 24 30

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes! It would be 40.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It would be 30. Once again, multiply .15 by all of the numbers until you come up with one that equal 4.5 30 multiplied by .15 equals 4.5 :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, it'd be d, 30. B is already less than 1, so you can't multiply it by another number less than 1 to get a number greater than 1.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Directions: Type the correct answer in the box. Use numerals instead of words. If necessary, use decimals instead of fractions. Joe's Hot Dog Stand is only open for lunch. Of today's sales, 26% came from selling plain hot dogs. Since the hot dog stand made $45.50 from selling plain hot dogs, it made $__________ in total sales for the day.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It would be $11.83 I think o.e Just multiply .26 by 45.50

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are you supposed to fill in the table?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, the first blank (above .25) would be $12.50 The second blank would be $0.47 The third blank would be $1.28 And the fourth, and final, blank would be $82.00

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When the unknown was on the top, you divided the given by .02. When the unknown was on the bottom, you multiplied the given by .02. I hope that helped lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

He sold 12 coins. You add up the whole amount of coins he has (which is 80) then multiply that by .15 to get 12 coins.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1 more

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it would be 675 because you divide 216 by .32 to get 675. I think.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I hope I helped lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you are awesome!!!!!!!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol, it was no problem! I love math haha
