What do you know about the total measure of all the angles in a triangle?
OpenStudy (ayee_ciera):
idk
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Okay, well, all the angles in a triangle add up to be 180 degrees. (bc it's half of a square, and all of the square's angles equal 360 degrees)
Anyway, you already have two of the three angle measures, so you can set up an equation basically 87+32+x=180.
Now, what would x be?
OpenStudy (ayee_ciera):
x=61

Yes! Now, do you know what type of angle 1 and C form?
OpenStudy (ayee_ciera):
not really
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Okay, well, the form a supplementary angle. Do you know what a supplementary angle is/what the measure of it is?
OpenStudy (ayee_ciera):
180
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Yes! So, now you can set up another equation.
61+x=180
(x, in this case, will be the measure of angle one)
Solve for x, and you have the measure of angle 1
