1. At a fundraiser breakfast, the bill for three glasses of orange juice and five pancake specials is $7.60, whereas the bill for one glass of orange juice and two pancake specials is $2.90. a. Write a system of two equations to model this problem. Let j stand for the price of a glass of juice and let p stand for the price of a pancake special. b. Use the substitution method to solve the system of equations. c. What would be the bill for one glass of orange juice and one pancake special?

You said :"Check my answer" My question: " Where is it?"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im copying and pasting it im trying to find it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay; 1. 3j + 3p = 7.6 1j + 2p = 2.9, so j =2.9 -2p then substitute in the first equation, and you get: 3(2.9 -2p) + 3p =7.6, so 8.7 -6p +3p =7.6, so -3p =-1.1, so p = 1.1/3 or $0.03666. or $0.37 3j = 6.50, so j = 2.16666, or $2.17 1 juice $2.17 + 1 pancake $0.37 = $2.54

OpenStudy (loser66):

At a fundraiser breakfast, the bill for "three glasses of orange juice and five pancake specials is $7.60" That is 3j+ \(\color{red}{5}p = 7.6\) Not 3j+ 3p =7.6, got it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oops o.o

OpenStudy (loser66):

And then :"one\((\color{red}{1})\) glass of orange juice and two \((\color{blue}{2})\) pancake specials is $2.90. " And you are correct at this equation. Redo the first one and resolve them
