HELP!!!!! MEDAL!!!!! In "The Adventures of Theseus," why does Theseus board the black-sailed ship to go fight the Minotaur? A. King Aegeus begs him to defeat the evil Minotaur. B. He wants the Athenians to put their faith in him. C. He wants to humiliate Minos, the king of Crete. D. The Minotaur slayed his father.

A is a reason for his going, but doesn't explain why the ship has a black sail. B is certainly not true, because to put faith in him, he would use a white sail. C? not sure how a black sail is supposed to humiliate the king of Crete. But maybe it is C, like you know a poor man in a king's palace. that type of thing. D is not a reason for black sail, but also like A, is a reason for going there...
