\[\pi = 180~~ degrees\]
OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):
- (sqrt3)/2
OpenStudy (solomonzelman):
cos(7 pi/ 6) =
cos(210)=
cos(180+30)
OpenStudy (solomonzelman):
use you rule, cos(a+b)=cos(a)cos(b)+sin(a)+sin(b).
OpenStudy (solomonzelman):
your rule, lol.

reply, please, we want you to be engaged in problem solving...
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
You can also think of \(cos(7\pi/6)\) as \(cos(\pi+\pi/6)\)
and bring to the story that cos have a period of 2pi
OpenStudy (solomonzelman):
lol put a \ in front of the cos
OpenStudy (solomonzelman):
1) click ALT and hold it.
2) click 9 2 on the number pad on the bottom left sorner
3) release ALT.
you get \

(if your NumLck is off, it should still work)
OpenStudy (solomonzelman):
NumLock*
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
hmm never tried that
why do I need alt i have \ without all that?
OpenStudy (solomonzelman):
where?
OpenStudy (solomonzelman):
/ ohh, I see.

in the keyboard i never did any alt i just click on it
\(\cos(x)\)
OpenStudy (solomonzelman):
not all keyboards have it.mine on the other computer doesn't have it.
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
hmm i see it is different than just cos without \
OpenStudy (solomonzelman):
yes, cos without it becomes cursive.
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
oh i see!

but there a problem when i try cosx it doesn't appear
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
i have to do parenthesis first
OpenStudy (solomonzelman):
you should have a space betwen the cos and x.
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
oh i see
OpenStudy (solomonzelman):
yes:D

\(\sin x \) cool:)
OpenStudy (solomonzelman):
yes:)
OpenStudy (solomonzelman):
the parenthesis, without equation editor, fail to work by defnitnie integrals, sigma notation, and the limit x-> something appreas next, not below.
OpenStudy (solomonzelman):
I mean the arrow, in a limit is off in parenthesis.
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
yah right! the arrow does not go bellow lim hehe
but the equation editor sometimes doesn't work lol

there are times, when it doesn't but it is only bad, as you noticed that it can be typed in-text-:(
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
yes :)
i still need to learn a lot of stuff about this latex hehe
like tables
OpenStudy (solomonzelman):
also, sometimes there is a latex glitch, but equation editor indefite integrals also look much neater... andf anyways, I got to go...
OpenStudy (solomonzelman):
I can give you any advie when I am here.
if you want, I'll put up a tutorial:)
