@geny55 @Princer_Jones "Why" is not the same as "how". We do see color with photoreceptors in our eye that can distinguish the differences in light. Now for why, some have hypothesized humans, and other animals, have color vision because it allows differentiation of things like leafs or other animals.

You have cone cells with 3 different pigments that sense certain range of the electromagnetic spectrum.

The cone cells are located on the retina of your eyes, and most concentrated on the Fovea, where your vision is most acute.
