NEED AN ANSWER STILL, WILL REWARD THE FIRST ANSWER , FAST .. Is the group of words a simple sentence, a compound sentence, or a run-on sentence? My sister works with clay; she molds and paints it. A. simple sentence B. run-on sentence C. compound sentence
read my post from the other question with guidelines to determine the type of sentence
from the Bedford Handbook "A simple sentence is one independent clause with no subordinate clauses. A compound sentence is composed of two or more independent clauses with no subordinate clauses."
I THINK ITS A RUN ON
"Run-on sentences are independent clauses that have not been joined correctly."
no, how do you join clauses correctly?
pg 251 when 2 independent clauses appear in one sentence, they must be joined in one of these ways: -with a comma and a coordinating conjunction (and, but, or, not, for, so, yet) -with a semicolon (or occasionally with a colon or a dash)
to me " ;" makes it a compound and not a run-on.
