is light made up of atoms and elements?

OpenStudy (mrnood):

where did you get this question? is it set in a test? or is it your general curiosity? It seems to not be related to any sensible course of study, so I'd lik eoyu to explain what viewpoint you are asking this from?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

light is made up of the positive charged particles called protons

OpenStudy (ksaimouli):

In addition to what @sikinder it exhibits both characteristics of a wave and particles. This property is called wave-durability

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

Light is quantized in finite elements called photons. Each photon carries an amount of energy equals to h*f, where h is the Planck constant, and f is the frequency of your light ray

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@sikinder I hope you meant photons not protons :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@sikinder photons are not charged

OpenStudy (ksaimouli):

lol @diracdelta I didn't notice the typo

OpenStudy (mrnood):

Light is considered to be 'packets' of energy known as photons. Under differing circumstances these can exhibit the characteristics of particles OR waves and cannot definitively said to be either. @ksaimouili It is known as wave-particle DUALITY, not durability.
