Hey, who here is good at environmental science?
Not me, but I might remember something though...
ok, cool, ill post a new thread with qurstions lol thnxs!
you can do it here, because otherwise, what is the point of this post/
Which is true of fishery regulations? Government regulates many fisheries, setting catch limits determined by scientists. Sometimes estimating and monitoring fish populations is difficult, so we need to learn more about fish biology and ocean conditions to enable scientists to get better data. Catch limits don't always use the optimum sustainable yield as their quota. Fishery regulations can limit fishing seasons and determine what fishing gear is acceptable for use. All of these are true with respect to fishery regulation.
I think all of them are true, should I elaboarate/
*elaborate?
yes
plz
Okay, the reason for A, is because if we catch more fish than what it reproduces the number of fish would narrow, and this would cause to proportionally narrrow every other member of the food chain, including people.
ok
For B, it is also true that it's a difficult task to estimate the number of different types of fish, because they are not on-land, they are underwater and thus difficult to observe. Although there is being made a lot of new technology y.
For C, yes, it is true also, because (even) scientist are never perfect to make the best limitation on fishery. (Not even taking about speculators who are violating the fishery limit rules).
For D, a season definitely matters, because catching mother-fishs who are with their (eggs, {called the caviar} or their non-egg off-springs, depending on the type of fish) would mean catching much more fish and destroying the population of fish, and again, cause a criticaal damage to food chain. Kcatching mother fishs with off-springs ready... you know what I mean
I am not a science guy though, so if some thing is missing, I can make it up, inside the explanation. but again, I don't guarantee a professional explanation.
ok thnxs
How does restoring wetlands promote sustainability? habitat is provided for many endangered bird and fish species diversity of the flora and fauna in the area increases education and scientific endeavors on wetland habitat is encouraged community and population ecosystem health is improved all of these are ways that sustainability is achieved by restoring degraded wetlands
sure, I help with whatever I know... it was not a problem to refresh some things from my environmental science. I actually remember it because I watched (science) movies about this stuff 2-3 yrs. ago. bye:)
