OpenStudy (igreen):

-5x - 4 + 6x - 7 = ?

OpenStudy (igreen):

-5x + 6x -4 - 7 Combine like terms. Can you add and subtract those?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-11

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yep, and what about -5x + 6x? Just do -5 + 6, then put x after it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1x

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yep, 1x is the same as x. So we put it together and get: x - 11

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you so much

OpenStudy (igreen):

No problem.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hey do you have plenty of time to help me with a few more problems
