Let f(x) = 4x - 5 and g(x) = 6x - 3. Find F(x) - g(x). A. -2x - 2 B. 2x - 5 C. -2x - 8 D. 2x + 5 @igreen

OpenStudy (igreen):

f(x) = 4x - 5 g(x) = 6x - 3 f(x) - g(x) 4x - 5 - 6x - 3 Now combine like terms: 4x - 6x -5 - 3 What do you get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-8

OpenStudy (uri):

Yes.

OpenStudy (uri):

How about 4x-6x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-2x

OpenStudy (uri):

:)

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Try to remember not to change notation in the middle of the problem f(x) and F(x) are not the same thing.

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yep, that gives us -2x - 8!

OpenStudy (igreen):

@Tazmaniadevil Give the medal to @uri :)
