Can somebody check my answers posted below. Solve: 3x – 5 = 7x - 21 3x-5=7x-21 (3x-7x)-5=(7x-7x)-21 -4x -5= -21 -4x (-5+5)= (-21+5) -4x= -16 -4x/-4= -16/-4 x=4 Given the linear equation x + 2y = 5, find the slope of its graph. 4+2*0=5 4+0=5 4=5 4/5 Given the linear equation 4y + 6x =12, find the y-intercept. 4*0+6*4=12 0+24=12 24=12 24/12

@DawnStar53 u solved the first part correctly for the second part and third part u need to apply slope intercept form

Nnesha (nnesha):

for second one you just have to solve for y and same with third one

Ok

The first answer looks correct, but the second and third do not. To find the slope of the graph, do not replace a variable with a number, simply move everything around to get the equation in the form \[y = mx+b\] and the 'm' will be your slope (whatever is directly in front of the 'x'). For the third, simply replace the 'x' variable with a zero and solve for 'y', giving you the answer (0, y-value) for the y-intercept.
