Combine like terms to simplify the expression: 7x + 3y - 2 + 6x + 1 + y2 y2 + 3y + 13x - 1 3y3 + 13x2 + 1 2y3 + 13x - 1 y2 + 3y + 13x2 + 1

Is that a 2y or y^2?

OpenStudy (princeharryyy):

x(7+6) +3y+ y^2-1

OpenStudy (princeharryyy):

@camilacabelllo

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y^2 @ashton278

OpenStudy (princeharryyy):

so this y2 + 3y + 13x - 1 @camilacabelllo

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so the like terms are 7x with 6x so we would get 13 x so far we would have 13x + 3y - 2 + 1 + y^2 we can simplify bu adding 1 to negative 2 so we have now 13x + 3y -1 + y^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so A i agree with @princeharryyy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no you can't combine 3y with y^2 because one has exponent and the other doesn't so that doesn't work im pretty sure its against the math rules

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@shinebrightlikeadimon You're right. @princeharryyy Nice job!

:)
