Riley noticed an aquarium in his father’s office. The aquarium had the dimensions 16 in. by 8.5 in. by 10.5 in. The formula for volume is: V = l × w × h. Riley also thought that the surface area would triple. Is Riley correct? How many times greater is the surface area of the larger aquarium than the smaller? explain your reasoning.

After using the formula for surface area, we see that the surface area of the smaller aquarium is 786.5 and the surface area of the larger one is 7078.5. So it's 9 times bigger. Riley is incorrect, again, Lol. :)
