Okay. St do I do now? I'm dumb when it comes to math
OpenStudy (anonymous):
You cant find the area...
OpenStudy (anonymous):
12/6
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Okay but is that the answer or do I have to like put it in simplest form? Because the answer choices don't have that
OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm so confused! @DanJS could you help me out
OpenStudy (danjs):
ok the linear relationship factor between the 2 is 2 to 1, but the area is 2 dimensional so the area will be 4 times the smaller one in the bigger one
OpenStudy (danjs):
4/1
OpenStudy (anonymous):
I aware your a lifesaver! Could you help with more?

for example a square with length 1 and a square with length 2
area of each is 1 and 4
the second is 4 times the first
OpenStudy (danjs):
if the relationship btween the shapes is 3 times the first in lengths, then the area will be 3^2 or 9 times more
OpenStudy (danjs):
4 times longer
area is 16 times bigger
OpenStudy (danjs):
so on...
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Wow I feel dumb... could you help with these two also?

The first one will be Volume of the rectangle + volume of the pyramid
OpenStudy (danjs):
Area of the BOX = l*w*h = 5*3*8 = 120
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Awesome!
OpenStudy (danjs):
Volume of Pyramid = (1/3)*(area of base)*height = (1/3) * (5*3)*(3)

Total Volume = 120 + 15 = 135
OpenStudy (danjs):
First answer 135 yd^2
OpenStudy (anonymous):
54
OpenStudy (anonymous):
oh sorry I forgot that you answered
OpenStudy (danjs):
270 for the second one
