A .25 kg coconut at the tops of a tree has a gravitational potential energy of 30.38 joules. How tall is the tree I got 121.52 feet but i'm not sure if its right

OpenStudy (amistre64):

what are you using for gravity?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

since P = mgh h = P/(mg)

i'm not sure i just multiplied .25 and 30.38. Do i use 9.98 for gravity?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

keep in mind the feet is not a metric unit, we would most likely be wanting meters

OpenStudy (amistre64):

if we use 9.8 for gravity we get: h = 30.38/(.25(9.8))

thanks
