How do you know your triangle is an ambiguous case? How do you prove there's two possible angle values?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I understand there is a possibility of no solution, one solution or two solutions, but how do you prove it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Note that the ambiguous case was translated from french from 'le cas ambigu'.

@SolomonZelman, do you know anything about this?

For example, In a ABC triangle, m of angle A is 90*, m of angle B is 39* and a = 10cm. Find the value of b. You're not supposed to solve the problem, just choose the trigonometry relation you would use to solve the problem and note if it's an ambiguous case or not.
