Find the average magnitude of earthquakes for both areas (California and Alaska) based on the data you are given. Create a chart/graph to illustrate the earthquake data for California and Alaska. Please explain why you selected the graph (bar, line, pie) you did. If you need help trying to decide what type of graph to make review the information above. @dtuniyants
can you give me the data
ok
to find the average magnitude add all values of one area and divide by number of values
can you help me with that
ok
thx
\[(4.5+5.5+5.0+3.3+3.1+4.5+5.0+3.33.6+3.4)/10\]
this is for California
just do the same thing with Alaska
ok and then what do i do?
4.12 average for California tand that's all for the average magnitude
we should use bar graph, because we have single values that don't change in time and don't take a part of single
to make graph just plot the values
and how do i do that. Can you help me on that too please. You can do California and ill do alaska
ok just a minute then
ok :)
r u doing it?
yes. sorry takes a lot of time
oh i get it. and i just do the same thing with california
Now can you please explain why you selected the graph (bar, line, pie) you did.
i did for california. you do for alaska, but don't froget to chaange years in my chart, they are incorrect
i selected it because: we have data that is not changed in time and doesn't takes part of something
oh ok. Now can you please explain why you selected the graph (bar, line, pie) you did.
oh ok and what graph did you choose
bar
ok. great :) Now can you decide where you think it is safest to live. Your choices are California or Alaska, but be sure to base your decision only on the earthquake information you are give
I think in California, because most of earthquakes have less magnitude than on Alaska
perfect thank you so much for helping me. You definitely deserve a MEDAL!!! :)
