from 2 to 7 is 5 units
\(\frac{3}{4}\times 5=\frac{15}{4}=3.75\) so you add that to 2 and te get \(5.75\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):
huh? lol
OpenStudy (anonymous):
lets work it it out you and me, this one is easy, but you have the wrong answer
from 3 to 11 is how many units?

OpenStudy (anonymous):
pita = pain in the a$%

yes lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):
ok and the ratio is 3:5 so out of that 8, CE gets 3, DE gets 5
11 years ago
OpenStudy (anonymous):
conveniently in this case the total was 8 so it is easy to divide in three and five equal parts, namely one each
so what is 3+3?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
6

the first three was the x coordinate
the second was because we had to go 3 more units
11 years ago
OpenStudy (anonymous):
I don't get it ): I was wrong?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yes it is 6 you had something else
OpenStudy (anonymous):
lets go back
from 3 to 11 is 8 units
the ratio is 3 to 5, so the first segment gets 3 the second one gets 5
3 to the right of 3 is 6
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ohhh okay, sorry I wasn't paying attention

could you explain this to me?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yes in real simple plain inglish
take the average of the y coordinates 4 and 10
ie. add them up, divide by 2
you can do it in your head
