OpenStudy (happpily):

HOW DO I SOLVE THIS? Use the binomial theorem to expand (d-4b)^3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you have to apply pascals' triangle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the binomial's term is 3 so you have to look at the pattern 1-3-3-1 and apply it to the equation with the d term starting at the 3rd power and the b power starting at the 1st power and decrease the d term by 1 while increasing the b term by 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

d^3-4b + d^2 -4 * 3 b^2 .......

OpenStudy (anonymous):

keeps going until the end of the pattern

OpenStudy (happpily):

okay thank you!
