Need some help!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Here it is! @Global @FLAMER123

OpenStudy (anonymous):

use pemdas backwards when doing equations like this.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so subtract on both sides 3/7x+5=8 -5=-5 3/7x=3 *7x *7x 3=21x 3/21=x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OH LOL READ IT WRONG@!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

instead of multiplying 7x only multiply 7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

21=3x 7=x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3/7x + 5= 8 First subtract by 5 on both sides. 3/7x = 3 Now multiply by 7 on both sides. 3x= 21 Lasly divide by 3. x= 7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I kinda see.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What about this one!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because your subtracting and dividing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok! Ill open another one, if you would like to help???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You pretty much do the opposite operation. When trying to solve for x, or any other variable, you are trying to isolate it. So if it is multiplying you divide, if it is adding you subtract and vice versa until you leave the x alone.

Sure!
