any one a sociologiest? if yes then how is it being like one? what is the montly wage?

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Technically I am, as I have a degree in that, but I do not work in that field. Here are the labor statistics on the job: http://www.bls.gov/ooh/life-physical-and-social-science/sociologists.htm I had classmates that were in the field when I was getting the degree. Their work was in two areas. Some were in the research side of things, which meant a lot of data collection and weeding through it. The others, most of them, were working for social services and getting the degree to advance. They generally do not start too high, but you can work up to reasonable pay. Thanks to all these people studying other people for ads, social programs, etc. there is reaonable growth in the market.

What do you do now though @e.mcccormick? I am hoping to become a sociologist! I have some ideas on how to sustain myself in such as personal assistance and helping to organize events. Definitely working in research and also working in schools. There are loads of options in my mind, however I think it depends on what you feel comfortable doing and what you want to gain.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

I never activly worked as one. Just enjoy the topic so got the degree and along the way have met and worked with people who are active in the field. I am a system admin at an internet service provider.
