Could someone please help me with math? I need to find the slope of the line for a graph I think I know the answer but I am not 100% sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is the equation or picture of the graph?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The top line is ... from top to bottom 2, 1, 0, -1, -2, -3, -4,-5, the cross line is -3,-2,-1, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and the line goes through the -2 and crosses at the 6 I don't know how to get the picture of the graph added into this comment section.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well slope is equal to rise over run, so if the point was (1,2), the slope would be 2 because you would have to go up to and over 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it works out as -2 over 6 so that would make the slope of the line -3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so if I go up from -2 over to 6 that would be -2 over 6 right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not sure if this should be a negative or a positive?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

have you tried using the slope formula (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)? or could you just give me two points in order from left to right so I could help you?:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

from left to right -2, 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the coordinate is (-2, 6)? is there another point to the right of that you could show me?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the line that goes across starts at -3 and goes over to 7 and the line going up and down goes from 2 down to -5. The line points cross at -2 and 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think the slope of the line is either -3 or three. I'm confused on how to determine if it should be negative or positive.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

could you copy and paste a picture onto paint and save it and then attach it to where it says attach file bc im not really sure how you are telling me the coordinates

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'll try

This is the url which will bring up the image. https://www.connexus.com/content/media/869973-952013-100735-AM-573488505.png

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it says I must login to view the content

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay :( Let me try to copy and past it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

try and do it on a word document or paint itll be easier:)
