Which lines in this excerpt from the poem "Dreams" by Edgar Allan Poe use enjambment? a. (Oh! that my young life were a lasting dream!) b. (My spirit not awakening, till the beam Of an Eternity should bring the morrow.) c. (Yes! tho' that long dream were of hopeless sorrow,) d. ('Twere better than the cold reality Of waking life, to him whose heart must be,)
this is the whole poem Oh! that my young life were a lasting dream! My spirit not awakening, till the beam Of an Eternity should bring the morrow. Yes! tho' that long dream were of hopeless sorrow, 'Twere better than the cold reality Of waking life, to him whose heart must be,
@iambatman @iGreen @undeadknight26 @uri
and enjambment is: "the continuation of a sentence without a pause beyond the end of a line, couplet, or stanza" [google] So it seems both A.) and C.) are out of the list and since B.) has a comma in the middle of the first line, I'm assuming it's wrong So D.) Seems like the best option here Good Luck - Hope I'm right *^-^
