If (72)p = 76, what is the value of p?

OpenStudy (igreen):

To find the value of 'p', you must get rid of '72'. Do you know how you would do that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Any help?? If (72)p = 76, what is the value of p? 2 3 4 8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

76-72

OpenStudy (misty1212):

i think there is some kind of mistake here

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im lost in this need HELP please

OpenStudy (misty1212):

is there a screen short or picture you can post for the question? none of the answers make sense

OpenStudy (misty1212):

\[\huge 7^{2p}=7^6\]

OpenStudy (misty1212):

is that maybe it ???

OpenStudy (misty1212):

that would make sense, because then you can solve \[2p=6\\ p=3\] which is actually one of your options

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, your correct because I messed up on the question instead of (72) it should of been 7^2 my bad. at first I was not sure what you was talking about then it clicked to me when I went over my work.

OpenStudy (misty1212):

yay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wow, mad props @misty1212 for seeing that...

OpenStudy (misty1212):
