Question about integrating tanx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If we integrate tan x from 0 to pi/2, we get ln(sec(pi/2)) - ln(sec(0)) sec 0 = 0 ln 0 does not exist though. Do we just ignore this and say it's equal to ln(sec(pi/2))?

Parth (parthkohli):

\[\cos 0 = 1/1 \Rightarrow \sec 0 = 1/1 = 1\]
