Question Attached Below.
okay: the perimeter (often abbreviated as P) is the sum of all of the sides of the shape. If you look at the first shape that has only one triangle, it's perimeter is: \(\large\color{black}{ 6+6+5 }\)
you are just counting all of the sides around the shape, and any segments inside are not included.
Can you tell me the perimeter of each shape?
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ The perimeter is the sum of all the sides.. so that would be \(6 + 6 + 5\). Simplify that to find the perimeter of one of the triangles. Then you can keep adding the perimeters of 2 and 3 triangles.
*adding to find the perimeters
@Jonnychewy if you don't understand something say what is it, and we will try our best to explain it to you
would the second triange be 6+6+6+5+5
No, the 2nd triangle is congruent to the first..so it has the same perimeter.. 6 + 6 + 5. So the perimeter of both triangles will be 6 + 6 + 6 + 6 + 5 + 5.
And the perimeter for 3 triangles will be 6 + 6 + 6 + 6 + 6 + 6 + 5 + 5 + 5.
oh!!! I thinkI see what you are sayng.
