what is point of view
Point of view is essentially who is telling the story and how that effects the way the story goes. First person point of view: Uses "I" as the narrator. This enables the reader to see the narrator's thoughts, but not the thoughts of the rest of the characters. This also may skew things because everything is seen through the eyes of the narrator and their perceptions are the ones that we see. Ex. The Hunger Games is told through Katniss' eyes, thus making it be written in first person. Second person point of view: uses "you" as a narrator, addressing the reader directly. This is not really considered to be proper writing and is not often used in literature. Ex. There really aren't a lot of popular examples of this. A choose your own adventure would be one. Unless I am mistaken, the opening of the first Percy Jackson is another (because Percy is talking directly to the reader). Third person point of view-limited: "He/she" narration is used. Here, the narrator follows the action through the perspective of one character, but the character is not the narrator. Ex. The Harry Potter series is an example of this. Third Person point of view- Onniscient: here the narrator follows all of the characters and uses multiple perspectives. This allows the reader a peek into the minds of many characters. Ex. The Dante Club by Matthew Pearl
Does that make sense?
it does thank you so much
A point of view i may say, is going straight to a particular meaning of a subject or topic.
