Line A has a slope of2/3 and passes through the point (3, 3). Line B has a slope of-1/3 and passes through the point (-4, -2). At what point does line A intersect line B? Line A intersects line B at the point

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

Tried anything yet?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No but i suck at stuff like this

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

One way to do this is to get a valid equation for both those sets of info by using the point slope formula\[(y-y1)=m(x-x1)\]

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

Once you get those you can equate those together like a system and find out the solution set or you can graph it.

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

either way you still have to use the point slope formula to make an equation

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

Try the first one ^^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hang on my computer keeps frezing up

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

it's fine, take your time by any means

OpenStudy (dtan5457):
