HELP ASAP Paco uses a spinner to select a number from 1 through 5, each with equal probability. Manu uses a different spinner to select a number from 1 through 10, each with equal probability. What is the probability that the product of Manu's number and Paco's number is less than 30? Express your answer as a common fraction.

OpenStudy (ganpat):

create a set .. what are various possibilities for the product to be less than 30.. (1,1) (2,1) (3,1) (4,1) (5,1) (1,2) (2,2) (3,2) (4,2) (5,2)... and so onn

R u getting it ?? i mean is it understandable?

OpenStudy (ganpat):

what i did is, consider Paco`s spin Manu`s and say if they both get one, then the product is 1*1 = 1.. which is less than 30.. similarly, noy paco get 2 and Manu still has 1 in the spinner then the product is 2*1 which is again less then 30... We have to calculate till the time product reaches to 30 or more.. for instance, paco get 5 and Manu get 6.. then 5*6 = 30.. so it is void and we will not consider that

So what is the probability?
