Sorry for the slow reply - internet problems!
Anyways, say we have this fraction \(\color{blueviolet}{\dfrac{3}{4^{-2}}}\)
We can make the exponent positive, so we have \(\color{blueviolet}{\dfrac{3}{4^{2}}}\)
Now we can take \(\color{blueviolet}{4^2}\) and multiply it by 3, so what is 3*4^2?
OpenStudy (jordanloveangel):
192?
sammixboo (sammixboo):
Hmm \(\color{blueviolet}{3\times4^2}\) = 48
but anyways, time to solve the real expression
We have \(\color{blueviolet}{\dfrac{2}{4^{-3}}}\), do you know what to do first?

im thinking A
sammixboo (sammixboo):
Ah, it isn't A, but we first make the exponent positive, so we have \(\color{blueviolet}{\dfrac{2}{4^{3}}}\)
Now using the example I used above do you know what we do next?
OpenStudy (jordanloveangel):
C or B
OpenStudy (anonymous):
sorry guys
OpenStudy (jordanloveangel):
nahh its cool

net problem
sammixboo (sammixboo):
OK so now after we got \(\color{blueviolet}{\dfrac{2}{4^{3}}}\) we multiply
\(\color{blueviolet}{2\times4^{3}}\)
sammixboo (sammixboo):
So first do the exponent
\(\color{blueviolet}{4^{3}}\) = 4 x 4 x 4
OpenStudy (jordanloveangel):
256
OpenStudy (anonymous):
guess I am not needed??

OpenStudy (jordanloveangel):
128
OpenStudy (anonymous):
How is 64*2=256??
sammixboo (sammixboo):
4 x 4 x 4 = 16 x 4 = 64
