@DanJS
OpenStudy (danjs):
substitution, you have to solve one of the equations for y =
OpenStudy (danjs):
and substitute that y = into the other equation
OpenStudy (danjs):
9x + 3y = 9

B?
OpenStudy (danjs):
solving the first equation for Y, and substituting that into the second , gives
OpenStudy (danjs):
lol i havent solved it, are you guessing or did you do it?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
im not guessing im actually trying to do it because i dont have long to do this but no rush sorry lol if you thought i was guessing
OpenStudy (danjs):
Solve the first one for Y ,, here
9x + 3y = 9
3y = 9 - 9x
y = 3 - 3x

Put that y = 3 - 3x , into the second equation for y,
3x + 2y = 9
OpenStudy (danjs):
3x + 2(3-3x) = 9
OpenStudy (danjs):
3x + 6 - 6x = 9
-3x = 3
x = -1
now you know X, put that into one of the equations and find Y
OpenStudy (danjs):
oh pellet, i just gave you the answer, that is all they want is x
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ya D i think i get it
