Imagine that you live in a centrally planned or command economy. What aspect would you like most about living in this type of economy? What aspect would you dislike most about living in this type of economy? Be sure to explain each like and dislike completely and provide logical reasons to support your answers. he only people who like living in a "centrally planned economy" are those in charge - and for them the benefits include immunity from criminal prosecution, access to whatever goods & services (and sex partners) take their fancy and generally 'Lording it over the peasants' (exactly like UK MP's, in fact) .. Dislikes would be the non-existence of property law, the inability to obtain simple justice, unfair distribution of resources, arbitrary imposition of rules & regulations generally designed to ensure power stays in the hands of the 'rulers' and prevent independent initiatives or any attempt at individual wealth creation .. You might protest that 'central planning' dosn't have to be like that, however I would content 'yes it does' .. No form of 'central planning' can be implemented without the use of a massive surveillance network (to detect non-compliance), the application of force (to prevent citizens 'doing things their own way') and the arbitrary confiscation of 'private property' without compensation (so that resources can be used according to the 'central plan') ... Eventually 'central planning systems' implode under the weight of their own incompetence and unbending rigidity ... Examples of 'central planning' systems are the old Soviet model and (to a much lesser extent) the Chinese model ...
